A Roman Catholic church and former cathedral, located in Noyon, France. It was formerly the seat of the Bishopric of Noyon, abolished by the Concordat of 1801 and merged into the Diocese of Beauvais. The cathedral was constructed on the site of a church burned down in 1131 and is a fine example of the transition from Romanesque to Gothic architecture.

Im studying art history at Buenos Aires University and you have the best pictures I have ever seen, thank you for create this beautiful page. Btw, I was thinking that my next tattoo could be a gothic cathedral... what do you think about Colgne Cathedral? Would you reconmmend me another one? Thank you again!

Wow I’m so happy to hear that you enjoy my page. I apologise for not posting for a long time, I have been so busy!

That would be a beautiful tattoo, Cologne Cathedral is stunning. I’d suggest getting a face on view of a façade, as there is a better chance of the tattoo coming out really well with all the detailing (unless you get a very talented tattoo artist).

I would recommend the southern façades of both Beauvais and Paris, they are some of my favourites :) But feel free to browse through the blog to find some inspiration!

I once reblogged a beautiful tattoo:

Gothic cathedrals certainly aren’t the most popular designs, but there are some really gorgeous ones on the internet if you just search Google. But when you get it, be sure to submit photos!! I would absolutely love to see it :)
