Anonymous said: I was disappointed to see you reblog a Romanesque cathedral

Firstly, the only cathedral that I’ve reblogged that can be even considered as Romanesque would be Florence Cathedral, probably because of the coloured marble panels on the exterior. But Florence Cathedral is very much Gothic.

Secondly, does it really matter if I reblog/post one or two Romanesque cathedrals? On this blog, I strive to post architectural beauty. If it really offends you that much, just ignore the post. There is plenty of true Gothic architecture on this blog to satisfy your needs.

Thank you!

I have a great grandfather (Enrique Bernardo de Espana - escort to King of France, Louis XV). If I visit Spain would I be able to visit the area of burial? His death was in that city September 23, 1811, and he was buried in the Chapel of the Sanctified Christ, of the parish of Holy Eulalia at Palma de Mallorca.

I’m sorry, but I have no idea. I would recommend going to Palma though. It has some beautiful Gothic and medieval architecture that I didn’t expect to find, if I’m honest.

I did a bit of internet research into this, and I couldn’t really find any answers. If you want to do some more searching, you might find a bit more information as to where the chapel is, or whether it is open to the public.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
